Meet the team


Shahida Khanom, Managing Director

Shahida has spent more than 20 years looking after the accounting and taxation needs of high net worth clients. As both an accountant and tax adviser, she is able to provide her specialist knowledge to clients who require a strategic yet practical approach in managing their financial affairs in an efficient and compliant manner.

Her expertise includes accounting and tax compliance for individuals, trusts, estates, charities and small family companies.  She also has in depth knowledge of setting up finance functions, including creating and implementing financial policies and procedures.

Shahida has a passion for training and development and was an original founding member of First Intuition Luton LLP, an accountancy training provider.  She continues to champion learning through delivering practical training to other professional firms, in-house finance teams as well as her own team.  She also enjoys guiding clients through the compliance process, providing clarity and comfort.

Before joining Caulie in 2013, Shahida spent over a decade in the private client teams of Ernst & Young and Deloitte, specialising in Family Office services, which encompasses a holistic approach to private wealth.

Zaman Uddin, Founder & Non-Executive Director

Zaman is the founding principal of Caulie and now provides his ongoing leadership in a Non- Executive capacity. Zaman started his career at Deloitte as a graduate trainee. Reaching Senior Manager, he qualified as an information systems auditor and accountant. He moved onto investment banking before founding Caulie. Zaman specialises in Cyber Security with a focus on strategy and risk.

Hafiza Uddin, Senior Associate

Hafiza joined Caulie in 2022 having spent 7 years in general practice (of which, 4 were spent with Caulie previously). Hafiza enjoys looking after private clients' affairs including their accounting and taxation needs and is responsible for the day to day compliance for our personal, trust and estate clients.

Aysha Ahmed, Associate

Aysha joined Caulie in 2023 as an Associate and is working towards her professional accountancy qualification.  Aysha previously worked in finance and credit control and is responsible for day to day bookkeeping, payroll and general compliance.

Zakaria Hussain, Consultant

Zakaria has over 15 years of experience in public sector finance specialising in financial planning and management for local authority settings, working closely with elected members and senior officers.  He has been instrumental in developing analysis and modelling for major transformation programmes, resulting in significant savings.

Zakaria has been consulting for Caulie for many years in the charities sector.

Esha Ahmed, Executive Assistant & Administrator

Esha joined Caulie in 2021 as an administrator, looking after our office, team and clients on a day to day basis.

Caulie is registered with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
